Military Medal 'On the 9th August, 1918, during the attack at FRAMERVILLE, near AMIENS, although wounded early in an advance of nearly 5.000 yards, he continued in charge of his machine gun team and finally got to his objective after passing through heavy point blank fire from enemy batteries. In a further advance he displayed great initiative in getting his gun into position at the objective and causing heavy enemy casualties. He set a fine example of courage and devotion to duty.'
