Military Medal 'During the attack east of MONT ST. QUENTIN near PERONNE, on 2nd September 1918, this man's Battalion was short of ammunition, and he was sent to guide the carriers sent by Brigade Headquarters. By his pluck and skilful use of ground, he succeeded in bringing up the ammunition through heavy artillery and machine gun fire. Private KENNEDY was much shaken and badly bruised by the explosion of a shell early in the operation, and was unconscious for some time. He however bravely carried on to the finish.'
