Wounded in action, 29 September 1915 (gun shot wound, right leg), and admitted to 13th Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to Mudros, 30 September 1915, and then to 21st General Hospital, Alexandria, 4 October 1915; to No 1 General Hospital, 9 October 1915; to No 3 Auxiliary Hospital, Heliopolis, 9 October 1915; to Convalescent Depot, Helouan, 9 November 1915; to Base Details, Zeitoun, 14 March 1916. Proceeded to join 21st Bn, 14 March 1916. Transferred to 60th Bn, and taken on strength, Duntroon Plateau, 20 April 1916. Admitted to 8th Australian Field Ambulance, Ferry Post, 26 April 1916; transferred to 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 5 May 1916 (chronic synovitis of knee); discharged to unit, 13 May 1916; rejoined Bn, 14 May 1916.
