Military Medal 'During operations from 7th to 12th June 1917 near MESSINES Corporal MINTY showed exceptional devotion to duty taking charge of gun right through operation and setting a fine example to his gun crew.'
Source: 'Commonwealth Gazette' No. 219 Date: Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations west of Bellenglise, on 18th September 1918. He went forward and established two Stokes mortars, one on either flank of the attacking battalion, silencing enemy machine guns. He supervised the mule train which was keeping up ammunition supplies to the Front, and it was due to his guiding that ammunition was available for the infantry when digging in.'
