Military Medal 'On the 4th July, 1918, during the attack on the ridge east of HAMEL, Corporal CURRIE led his Section with great determination and dash. Working his way along an enemy trench he successfully mopped up several dugouts, killing several Boche. He was afterwards successful in capturing an enemy machine gun and killing the crew. His coolness and cooperation were very valuable and a great help to his Platoon Commander.'
