Found guilty, 5 December 1919, of (1) being in London without a pass; (2) being absent without leave from 16-27 November 1919: awarded 10 days' detention.

Found guilty, 23 January 1920, of evading embarkation on 5 January 1920 and remaining absent intil 14 January 1920: awarded 28 days' detention.

Found guilty, Central Criminal Court, London, 2 March 1920, of robbery with violence: awarded 12 months' and 12 months' imprisonment with hard labour; sentences to run concurrently. Unexpired portion of sentence remitted, 16 July 1920, and embarked for return to Australia.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Barambah', 16 July 1920; disembarked Melbourne, 6 September 1920; discharged, 6 September 1920 ('services no longer required: unsatisfactory conduct; discharged as a bad character').
