'Pte FOGARTY during the period 16th Sept. to the present date, has continued to serve in the capacity of assistant to the C.Q.M.S. of his company, a position he has filled with credit during the past 20 months. During the last stages of the fighting he has been particularly conspicuous for his unfailing energy and zeal in personally guiding ration parties to his company and supervising the distribution of the rations. He has won the respect and gratitude of his comrades both in and out of the line for his long record of devoted service on their behalf.'
