Military Medal 'On 3rd/4th October, 1918, during the operations south of BEAUREVOIR, near ST. AUENTIN, Sergeant FORD did excellent and gallant service. After his Officer had been wounded and the guns of his section put out of action, he fearlessly reconnoitred the position under very heavy fire, collected stray infantry and the remainder of his gun crews, and organised a post which was held against repeated enemy counter attacks with obstinate bravery inspired by Sergeant FORD.'
