Embarked Sydney on RMS 'Ormonde', 2 March 1918; disembarked Suez, 4 April 1918, and taken on strength of Australian Camp, Suez.

Admitted to Segregation Camp, Suez, 10 April 1918 (measles contact); discharged to duty, 16 April 1918.

Embarked Port Tawfik and proceeded to join the British Expeditionary Force, 30 April 1918; disembarked Southampton, 15 May 1918, and marched into 14th Training Bn, Codford.

Found guilty at Codford, 22 July 1918, of prejudice to the conduct of good military order in that he smoked whilst on parade: awarded 6 days' confinement to quarters.

Admitted to Brigade Clearing Hospital, 2 August 1918; discharged to duty, 8 August 1918. Proceeded to France through Folkestone, 29 August 1918; marched into Australian Infantry Base Depot, Havre, 31 August 1918; marched out to unit, 2 September 1918; taken on strength of 31st Bn, 2 September 1918; proceeded to United Kingdom on leave, 6 February 1919; rejoined unit from leave, 14 March 1919.

Admitted to 15th Australian Field Ambulance, 20 March 1919 (influenza); discharged to unit, 25 March 1919; marched out from field, 4 May 1919. Embarked Havre and proceeded to England, 12 May 1919; marched into No 5 Group, Weymouth, 13 May 1919.

Found guilty, 4 June 1919, of being absent without leave, 12.01 am, 3 June, to 4.00 pm, 3 June 1919: forfeits 1 days' pay; forfeited total of 2 days' pay; granted leave for family reasons, 20 June 1919; reported from leave, 20 October 1919, and marched into Depot, Sutton Veny, 21 October 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on HT 'Aeneas', 22 November 1919; disembarked Sydney, 12 January 1920. Discharged Brisbane, 15 February 1920.
