War service: embarked from Port Melbourne, 27 October 1915; arrived Suez, 22 November 1915. Marched in to Zeitoun Camp, 25 November 1915. In 4th Auxiliary Hospital, Egypt, 9 February-2 March 1916.

Embarked at Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 21 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 26 March 1916. Entrained, 27 March 1916; arrived at camp, 29 March 1916. Joined unit in trenches, La Basselle, 31 July 1916.

Died of wounds received in action at Pozieres.
