Military Medal 'In the attack on POLYGON WOOD, east of HOOGE, on 20/21st September, 1917, Pte. FOX was a member of the Intelligence Platoon and assisted in laying the tapes to mark the assembly position under most trying circumstances on swampy ground under heavy shell fire. He then returned to HALFWAY HOUSE with an urgent message, guided up the Battalion and subsequently acted as runner, carrying several messages through intense barrages.'
