Found guilty, 7 September 1917, of (1) drunkenness and (2) being in encampment during prohibited hours: awarded forfeiture of 19 days' pay. Wounded in action in the field and admitted to 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station, 26 September 1917 (shrapnel wound to head); transferred to No 1 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 29 September 1917; to No 10 Convalescent Depot, 13 October 1917; discharged to Base details, 18 October 1917.
