'On the 1st September, 1918, during operations North of PERONNE, this man was absolutely fearless and untiring in his efforts in evacuating the wounded. He went over a ridge many times which was constantly swept with Artillery and Machine gun fire. On several occasions he went forward of our positions under fire from enemy snipers and succeeded in bringing in wounded men. The splendid courage of Private FREDERICKSON was admired by all his comrades.'
