Military Medal 'During offensive operations on 8th June 1917, he reorganised his section under heavy fire and under circumstances of great difficulty brought engineer stores forward to the site of the work near MESSINES. He then returned through the enemy barrage and carried in a wounded man. He has always shown great initiative and resource under fire.'
