Meritorious Service Medal 'During the period 16/17th September, 1918, to 11th November, 1918, Sergeant FUNNELL has been in charge of 3rd Australian Infantry Brigade Office. His work during the period under review has been of a very high order, and his painstaking methods the means of keeping a high standard of efficiency in the Office. During 3 years service with the Brigade he has proved himself most conscientious and thoroughly reliable.'
