'On the morning of the 15th April in the vicinity of LONGATTE, the 43rd Battery was heavily shelled. Gunner BAILEY, under heavy shell fire, showed great courage and coolness in rescuing a wounded man from a burning ammunition pit, which hostile shelling had ignited.'
