Tried by Field General Court Martial, Rabaul, 20 April 1915, on charges of (1) Drunkenness; (2) Resisting arrest; (3) Escaping from confinement: found guilty; awarded 12 months' imprisonment with hard labour. Prisoner returned to Australia under escort on board SS 'Matunga'; struck off strength, 11 May 1915. Medals: forfeited entitlement. |
