Embarked Sydney, 24 January 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 12 April 1917, and marched in to 4th Training Bn, Codford.

Proceeded overseas to France, 16 July 1917; taken on strength, 15th Bn, in the field, 4 august 1917.

Wounded in action, 26 September 1917 (shrapnel wound, abdomen, penetrating), and admitted to 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station; transferred to 7th General Hospital, Etaples, 1 October 1917; to England, 15 October 1917, and admitted to Duston Hospital, 16 October 1917 (wound: severe); transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 2 January 1918; discharged on furlough, 14 January 1918, to report to No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 28 January 1918.

Admitted to Camp Isolation Hospital, Hurdcott, 17 April 1918 (scabies); marched in to No 4 Command Depot from hospital, 25 April 1918.

Marched in to Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 1 May 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 22 May 1918; marched in to Base Depot, Havre, 24 May 1918.

Admitted to 39th General Hospital, Havre, 26 May 1918 (not yet diagnosed); discharged to Base Depot, 1 August 1918 (gonorrhoea); total period of treatment for venereal disease: 68 days.

Rejoined 15th Bn, in the field, 17 August 1918.

On leave to United Kingdom, 26 March 1919; rejoined Bn from leave, 14 April 1919.

Marched out to England for return to Australia, 2 June 1919; marched in to No 2 Group, Sutton Veny, 3 June 1919.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Cap Verde', 5 January 1920; disembarked Sydney, 29 February 1920; discharged (termination of period of enlistment), Sydney, 15 April 1920.
