Military Medal 'Lance Corporal GILLESPIE, of the Lewis gun Section, did excellent work with his Lewis Gun in repelling the enemy attack on the 15th April 1917 at LAGNICOURT. He showed great skill and determination in the handlding of his gun and team and was one of the main factors in the turning point of the enemy's advance. He brought fire to bear on the enemy with excellent results and showed complete disregard fo hostile machine gun and rifle fire.'
