Military Medal 'During the operations along the MENIN ROAD on 20th and 22nd September, 1917, he was employed as company runner between strong point at LONE HOUSE and HOOGE CRATER. He successfully accomplished six trips, aggregating about 20 miles under very heavy barrage fire. He displayed cool judgment and great devotion to duty throughout.'
