Military Medal 'At LOUVERVAL, FRANCE, on 15th April 1917, Pte. GLEDHILL during the enemy attack on our position was with a forward picquet, he displayed great courage and daring and worked his way back (through the enemy who had surrounded the picquet) with a message to that effect from his picquet commander who asked for ammunition and reinforcements.'
