Military Medal 'During the operations against the HINDENBURG Line, near BELLICOURT on 29th September, 1918, while acting as a stretcher bearer, Sapper GLENDINING assisted Sapper EGGLESTON throughout the day under very heavy shell and machine gun fire, carrying wounded. Early in the day he suffered from gas, but continued on duty throughout when he finally had to desist through sheer exhaustion.'
