Disembarked ex 'Themistocles' at Suez, 28 February 1916. Embarked for British Expeditionary Force, Alexandria, per HMAT 'Transylvania', 29 March 1916; disembarked, Marseilles, 4 April 1916; taken on strength from battalion reinforcements, 29 July 1916.

Wounded in action, France, 18 August 1916; admitted to hospital (gun shot wound, ankle), 21 August 1916; transferred to 5th Convalescent Depot, Etaple, 10 September 1916.

On leave to U.K., 2 September 1917; returned from leave, 21 September 1917. Injured accidentally, 2 October 1917; rejoined unit 26 January 1918.

On leave to U.K., 8 March 1918; returned from leave, 27 March 1918.
