Military Medal 'At SUNRAY TRENCH in March, 1917, this man came under special notice. He is a Company Runner, and during the period from 6th to 8th March, 1917, when telephone communication was impossible, through heavy shell and minewerfer fire he continuously carried messages to C.O.O., with absolute disregard for his own personal safety. He has always set a fine example of courage and coolness under fire.'
