Admitted to No 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, 7 May 1916; transferred to No 3 Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, 24 May 1916 (rectal abscess); to Ras el Tin Convalescent Home, 1 June 1916; discharged, 28 June 1916; rejoined 1st Light Horse Training Regiment, Tel el Kebir, 29 June 1916. Admitted to No 2 Australian Stationary Hospital, Tel el Kebir, 6 July 1916, and reverts to the rank of Private on being evacuated (hernia); transferred to No 3 Australian General Hospital, Abbassia, 7 July 1916; discharged to Australia for operation, 17 July 1916.
