Military Medal 'This N.C.O. displayed marked courage and bravery during the attack on the enemy on the morning of 8th August, 1918, East of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX, near AMIENS. He was one of a party of 11 men under 2nd Lieutenant GORDON. During the advance the party encountered strong enemy post. Without hesitation Sergeant BALDWIN attacked the position and jumping in to the trench personally killed four of the enemy with his bayonet. He then proceeded along the trench and rendered his Officer inestimable assistance in capturing 27 prisoners (including an officer) and 4 machine guns.'
