Military Medal 'During the enemy attack on DEMICOURT on 15th April 1917, L/Cpl. GRIFFITHS acted as linesman and showed himself quite careless of personal danger and devoted only to his duty. He was tireless in re-establishing broken communications, several times passing through heavy hostile barrages and zones of machine gun fire to do so. He succeeded in maintaining communications, with a minimum of delay, over a difficult and scattered area, and contributed in no small measure by his work in the ultimate repulse of the enemy. His work on several other occasions has been of the same high standard.'
