'This N.C.O. has performed the duties of Brigade Clerk for a considerable time, including the period 25.2.18 to 21.6.18. His duties have been very exacting and continuous, and at times carried out under very adverse conditions. He has always shown a cheerful and energetic manner and by his tireless efforts and hard work, which included the issuing of many large operation orders when this headquarters has been administering "Groups", and for the production of which he has been entirely responsible, has succeeded in punctually and most accurately carrying out his duties, thus rendering considerable aid in the operations which this Brigade and Groups have participated.'
