Military Medal 'At POZIERES on the night of 5th/6th August, 1916, and during the day and night of 8th August, 1916, Sergeant GUNNER showed great courage and ability, and directed his work in a most cool manner, although subjected to intense enemy artillery fire. His command was reduced to one unwounded man, but he continued to hold the sector of trench allotted to him until relieved.'
