Military Medal 'For loyal devotion to duty for the past six months. During a minor operation, this N.C.O. took charge of his platoon when the platoon Officer was wounded. The objective being taken this N.C.O. organized and consolidated the position. During the recent operations this N.C.O. has done consistent work, has led his platoon to the final objective under heavy fire with great skill and initiative. His coolness, courage, and disregard for danger set a fine example to his men.'
