Embarked Fremantle on HMAT 'Warilda', 1 June 1916; disembarked Plymouth, 18 July 1916. Proceeded to France from Perham Downs, 28 August 1916; marched into 2nd Australian Divisional Base Depot, 30 August 1916.

Admitted to 36th General Hospital, Etaples, 23 September 1916 (debility). Proceeded to England from Calais on HS 'St. Antwerpen', 24 September 1916; admitted to Northern General Hospital, Leicester, 25 September 1916 (rheumatism); discharged on furlough, 19 October 1916. Marched into No 1 Command Depot, Perham Downs, 2 November 1916; marched into No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 11 November 1916.

Embarked Plymouth on HT 'Ulysees' and commenced return to Australia, 13 February 1917; disembarked Fremantle, 12 April 1917. Discharged Perth, 10 May 1917.
