Military Medal 'On the 26th September, 1917, prior to and during the attack near ZONNEBEKE, Sergeant HALL showed great bravery and determination in charge of patrols and carrying parties. While carrying S.A.A. forward to the 2nd Objective his men came under a sudden burst of shell fire and scattered. HALL, with great coolness and personal risk, collected and rallied his men and eventually succeeded in getting the ammunition to the front line, from where he brought back several severely wounded men to the R.A.P. By his personal bravery and cheerfulness, HALL set a splendid example.'
