Embarked Alexandria on HMT 'Orana', 21 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 27 March 1916. Found guilty in Etaples, 14 February 1917, of not being in possession of a pass, 14 February 1917: awarded 14 days' confinement to camp; proceeded on leave to England, 9 August 1917; rejoined unit from leave, 19 August 1917; moved out to Australian Infantry Base Depot, Havre, 15 December 1917. Found guilty in Rouelles, 22 May 1918, of (1) drunkenness, (2) being without a pass, and (3) being absent without leave, 9.30 pm, 15 May, to 10.00 pm, 15 May 1917: awarded 14 days' confinement to camp; forfeited total of 10 days' pay; classified B.2, Havre, 12 July 1918; reclassified B.3, Havre, 17 July 1918.
