Admitted to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, 21 September 1916; discharged, 4 November 1916; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 45 days. Proceeded overseas to France, 17 November 1916; joined 8th Bn, in the field, 4 December 1916. Admitted to 5th Australian Field Ambulance, 19 December 1916 (pleurisy), and transferred to 38th Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 8, 20 December 1916, and admitted to 10th General Hospital, Rouen; transferred to England, 30 December 1916 (nephritis), and admitted to Colchester Military Hospital, 1 January 1917; transferred to 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 6 February 1917.
