Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He organised a small party and succeeded in clearing the enemy out of a village. On one occasion he attacked and dispersed a party of 100 of the enemy. Although wounded he remained at duty and continued to assist his Company Commander.'
