Embarked Melbourne on HMAT ‘Suevic’, 21 June 1917; disembarked Liverpool, 26 August 1917; marched into 7th Training Bn, Rollestone, 26 August 1917; transferred to 25th Bn Details, 1 September 1917; marched into 5th Training Bn, Fovant, 7 November 1917. Proceeded to France through Southampton, 27 December 1917; marched into Australian Base Depot, 28 December 1917; moved into the field, 30 December 1917; taken on strength of 25th Bn, 4 January 1918; allotted ‘A’ suffix to serial number, 4 January 1918. Transferred to 2nd Machine Gun Bn and taken on strength, 23 March 1918.
