War service: Western Front Embarked Sydney, 24 January 1917; disembarked Devonport, England, 12 April 1917, and marched into 12th Training Bn, Codford, the same day. Proceeded overseas to France, 16 July 1917; marched into 4th Australian Divisional Base Depot, Etaples, 17 July 1917. Proceeded to unit, 2 August 1917; taken on strength of 47th Bn, in the field, 4 August 1917. Transferred to, and taken on strength of 48th Bn, 28 May 1918. Attached to 12th Bde Headquarters, 10 June 1918. While on leave, admitted to King George V Hospital, Dublin, Ireland, 11 October 1918. Died, 13 October 1918.
