Admitted to 2nd field Ambulance, Mudros, 23 December 1915 (haemorrhoids); transferred to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Lemnos, 23 December 1915 (pleurisy); to 19th General Hospital, Alexandria, 12 January 1916; to Ras el Tin Convalescent Camp, 14 January 1916; discharged to duty, Class A, 26 January 1916; rejoined Bn, Tel el Kebir, 27 January 1916.

Transferred to 59th Bn, and taken on strength, 24 February 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, and taken on strength, 15 March 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.
