Wounded in action, and admitted to 11th Australian Field Ambulance, 26 May 1918, and transferred to 49th Casualty Clearing Station (gas attack); to No 2 Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, 5 June 1918. Embarked on board HS St.Andrew and proceeded to England for further treatment, 16 June 1918; admitted to Frensham Hill Military Hospital, 17 June 1918; transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 2 July 1918; discharged on furlough, 12 July 1918. Marched into No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 15 July 1918; marched into Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 21 September 1918.
