Admitted to 73rd Field Ambulance, 15 November 1916 (balanitis); transferred to 51st General Hospital, Etaples, 18 November 1916; discharged from hospital, 19 December 1916; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 35 days. Rejoined unit, in the field, 16 January 1917. Found guilty, 5 May 1917, of when on Active service creating a disturbance, 3 May 1917: awarded 28 days' Field Punishment No 1.
