Military Medal 'On the night of 26/27th February, 1917 at LE BARQUE, L/Cpl. HILL carried out some excellent patrol work to the right of LE BARQUE, obtaining much useful information. He attended to the wounded under shell fire with great coolness and skill. On the afternoon of the 27th February he carried urgent messages through heavy fire from the front line to company headquarters.'
