Military Medal 'For excellent work and devotion to duty as a stretcher bearer from 30th August to 1st September, 1916, at POZIERES. Although tired out himself, he continually volunteered to bring in wounded men across the open and exposed to fire; by this means all the wounded in the front line were removed.'
