Embarked Alexandria, 6 June 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 16 June 1916. Found guilty, 23 August 1916, insolence to an NCO: awarded 120 hours' detention. Found guilty, 2 October 1916, of drunkenness, 31 September 1916: fined 2/6. Appointed Acting Sergeant, 8th Training Bn, Hurdcott, 29 June 1917; reverted to Acting Lance Corporal, 11 July 1917.
