Military Medal 'On 4/5th October, 1917, during the operations at BROODSEINDE RIDGE east of YPRES, this N.C.O. displayed great courage and daring in capturing a strong point and taking nine prisoners. He also assisted in the taking of a Strong Point to the left of the crater by attacking it from the left flank with his party. When the final objective was reached he showed great judgment in selecting a position and constructing a strong point.'
