He has always performed his duties thoroughly and cheerfully and has shown unusual thoughtfulness and unselfishness. In active operation he has been chiefly instrumental in the maintenance of communications disregarding all thoughts of personal danger. He has never failed to rise to the occasion and his services to the Battalion have been invaluable.
