Military Medal 'Near BULLECOURT, (Regimental Aid Post), on the night of 10th/11th May 1917, this man led his stretcher squad repeatedly through a barrage of shrapnel and enabled wounded to be rapidly evacuated from an area of great danger. He showed courage and coolness of an exceptionally high order, and his gallant conduct stimulated his men and was the means of saving the lives of wounded stretcher cases.'
