Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On the 29th October, 1917, this Driver delivered ammunition to a Battery in the vicinity of ZONNEBEKE (east of YPRES) under very heavy enemy shell fire, at a very critical period. Whilst doing so Driver HOLT was severely wounded. He displayed great courage and set a splendid example of keen devotion to duty.'
