War service: Western Front Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal Died as a result of suicide - gunshot wound to the head. Born of German parents (Heinrich Hummrich and Louise Schesanski) who emigrated to Australia in 1878. Married Emilie Ernstine Kerlin in 1902 at Ipswich, Queensland and had ten children: Un-named, Louisa Emily, Mary Wilhelmine, Charles Adrolf, Martha Eda, Wilhelmina Bertha, Wilhelm Heinrich Victor, Stanley Roy Herman, Della Dulcie, and Pearl Madge. He shot himself at the family home on the day the youngest child was born. |
