Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations North East of BELLICOURT between 29th September and 1st October 1918. Owing to other Signallers becoming casualties, Private HUNT worked continuously for three days and nights, carrying out his duties. On three different occasions he went out to mend forward lines under heavy fire, owing to casualties to linesmen, and maintained his communications throughout a critical period, and when information was of the greatest value to his side. His courage and determination in keeping his lines intact set a high standard of work to all other signallers of the Battalion.'
