Wounded in action, Gallipoli (gun shot wound, left foot: severe); admitted to 17th General Hospital, Alexandria, 1 May 1915; discharged to Convalescent Camp, Mustapha, 23 May 1915; rejoined Bn at Gallipoli, 12 June 1915. Disembarked at Alexandria from Gallipoli, 12 June 1915.

Proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 27 March 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 3 April 1916.

Wounded in action, 25 July 1916 (gun shot wound, back); admitted to 13th General Hospital, Boulogne. Transferred to England, 29 July 1916. Died of wounds (spinal injury and paralysis), 31 July 1916.
